Humanitarian Activities

Founder and Managing Trustee of SRI RRK FOUNDATION a family trust in memory of my late father. The trust supports under-privileged providing scholarships for higher education. The has extended financial and other support to Karnataka State Council for Child Welfare (started by Smt.Lokasundari, wife of Sir.C.V.Raman, Noble Laureate) for their 42nd Batch of Balasevikas Training Programme. Bala Sevika Training Programme is for young women from underprivileged background. This programme has been running for the last 42 years.

A memberof theRotaryClubofR.T.Nagar since 1993, and served as its Community and Vocational Services Director, and its President in the Year 1998. During this term, Mr Ramakrishnan actively promoted several development and welfare schemes with special emphasis on Women and Adolescent Girls issues, Shelter for a Slum Community, Health (Pulse polio campaign), Education and income generation programmes for urban poor.

The Rotary District Governor for the year 1998-99 bestowed the GOVERNORSALUTEScertificate. The award is in recognition of his sharing the dream and daring to do and providing outstanding leadership to“Follow Your Rotary Dream”.

RRK FOUNDATION has also partnered with CMCA (Children’s Movement for Civic Awareness) by adopting four Government Schools Bangalore Urban and Rural to reach the innovative CMCA programme to instill civic and democratic values to the children, to enable them to become active citizens of India. Foundation continue to support financially for the merited students for pursuing education.
